Hello, friends! It’s Callie Shaw, owner and designer at Tin Lily Design, and I’m excited to continue sharing the journey of a recent project with you. Today, I want to spotlight the stunning transformation of the Den and Dining Room. This home has undergone a remarkable change over the past year, and I can’t wait to show you how beautiful and functional these spaces have become!
My clients had a clear vision: they wanted a home that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also tailored to their lifestyle. I completely understand the importance of creating spaces that feel good and work seamlessly for how you live your life.
One of the standout features of this renovation was the original beadboard ceilings. I chose to paint them off-white to brighten the space while still honoring the home’s history. I decided to keep some character by leaving the woodwork stained, which adds a warm, inviting touch. The original columns still serve as a charming barrier between the two areas, maintaining the home’s architectural integrity.
As is often the case with my projects, I was able to incorporate some of my clients' existing pieces while introducing plenty of new elements. This blend of old and new creates a cohesive look that feels both fresh and timeless. The renovation process required numerous meetings and a lot of collaboration, but the end result was absolutely worth it!
Nothing brings me more joy than being part of my clients’ journeys as we create spaces they love. I’m thrilled to share these beautiful transformations with you. What do you think of these new Den and Dining Room spaces? I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
